What is your business about, tell us when did it start and what products or services do you offer?
We produce wholesome vegan food. It began 5 years ago. We sell at 6 weekly farmers’ markets and events and festivals. Currently, we are selling direct to customers by home delivery. We hope to get back to our markets later in the year. More details about us here: http://shootsandroots.ie/story/
How are you guys dealing with the pandemic situation?
Initially, we shut down for 4 weeks to try to get an idea of what was happening. Following this, we have opened up again recently and we are now selling direct to customers, we deliver to their doorstep each week. We are working on growing this and building a system to handle orders and payments. We offer a fully contactless process.
Who are your costumers?
Traditionally its been a) females 21-45 b) those interested in health c) those with restricted diets d)vegans/vegetarians and now also we have noticed some older retired customers ordering from us.
How do you see the vegan community in Ireland?
Great! It’s quiet active and diverse. Regarding the food, the offerings over the past 5 years have increased plenty. It’s a tough road ahead for all food businesses now, so be sure to support our Vegan cafes and Restaurants.
